North Korea has criticized US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s recent visit to Beijing as a plea to China to ease tensions. Pyongyang claims that this is a failure of US policy to put pressure on China.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken ended his visit to China on June 19. Blinken and Chinese President Xi Jinping met and agreed to keep relations stable so as not to escalate the conflict. In addition, Blinken claimed after the meeting that he had urged China to encourage North Korea to stop firing missiles.
In a commentary by North Korea’s Central News Agency, North Korean international affairs analyst Jong Yong Hak said the rare visit was aimed at easing tensions as attempts to Oppression and blockade of China could be a serious attack on the US economy.
“In a word, the recent US Secretary of State’s ploy could not be judged beyond the shameless pleas of the instigators to acknowledge the failure of the policy to put pressure on China.
” The KCNA reported that the United States was responsible for escalating tensions in the region with anti-China tensions such as the Quad Security Alliance and the AUKUS Alliance.
North Korea stressed that the United States had provoked the issue first and then turned to responsible conflict management.
